The "In-Betweens"

Where do you find God?
On the mountain top? In the valleys? In the middle of the ocean? On a deserted island?
I feel like with our relationships with God, like in our every day lives, we are seeking to experience the fullness of each experience. We want those groundbreaking moments that create a story.  And there's nothing wrong with that. Except when these experiences become the pinnacle of our faith in our Jesus Christ, and without them, we feel we are not close with Him.

I started journaling again recently. I haven't really journaled in such a long time, and when I had first started I felt like I could only journal when something really dramatic happened. Yet, a few days ago, I picked up my journal and just wrote down everything that had happened that day. As I wrote out all of these things, however mundane, I began to identify the faithfulness of God in these in-between moments. Psalm 27 reads "one thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple."
I gaze upon the beauty of the Lord in each small and miniscule moment of my life, in the threads that hold my life together: He is present.
I think I'll start praying in these silly moments: while brushing my teeth, while walking to my car in the parking lot, while making my bed. Each of these mindless acts are what makes God so cool, that His power is made perfect in our weaknesses and in our chaos.
How will you find God in the in-betweens of your life?
