Taste and see

I'm in a moment of life that's confusing. Transferring schools has proven to be a feat that I was not mentally prepared for (although my wallet thanks me). As I sit here and watch all of my close friends get ready to graduate while I stay and finish up my degree, it's hard to not feel conflicted. Feeling ashamed for my situation, feeling happy for my friends, feeling like I'm not good enough. That should be me, I tell myself every night.

So I've forced myself to taste and see. What do I mean?
A good friend told me that future me would never trade the situations that led to their success. While that defies a lot of tenet logic in my brain, I get it. It takes a special person to taste and see and be satisfied. While most would complain about five loaves and two fish, the 5,000 were satisfied. 
So I will taste and see that the Lord is good. 
Verse 6 of Psalm 34 reads "Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing." I fear the Lord because He has the ability to truly create beauty from ashes, speak and breathe life, and bless His people throughout generations. So for now, I will taste and see & trust in His promises. 
God, you're good. Good thing you won't ever stop.
