I randomly got a cough, not a sickly cough, but that really annoying one that you forget about until you cough again. And your insides groan with annoyance as you decide what your next course of action is (complain or eat a cough drop, for me it's both.) 

It's also the type of cough that increases your annoyance with the world."Everything sucks AND I have a cough" "Traffic is horrible AND I have a cough" "I'm tired AND I have a cough". It's the type of cough you have that makes you treasure the times when you can breathe normally.It's the type of cough that makes me realize that we have so much in our lives to be grateful for that a cough is what ruins it for us. So often our blessings are clouded with the annoyance of raindrops on our head. That's been me. ​In my annoyance, I've been listening to the song Have Mercy On Me by Anchor Hymns that has lyrics that read: 
"Oh heart rejoice, Oh spirit sing of his righteousness". This lyric resounds the last minute or so of the song, and so it becomes my prayer. 
Restore to me the joy of my salvation, oh God. There is joy in the lowest of valleys. Take a moment and sing:
Oh heart rejoice, Oh spirit sing of His righteousness.​
